here is a custom filing cabinet made mostly from recycled materials. In Designing this piece, function and form were equally important. this piece features 2 file cabinets (top and bottom) and a storage cabinet for other office supplies (Middle). The upper and lower drawer fronts are made from sheet steel offcuts, and the middle door panel is made from a solid piece of acrylic that was saved from being thrown out. the door frames are all from the same piece of maple, which was a runner from a shipping crate. stainless steel offcuts from a local metal shop were used to tie the 3 separate pieces into one.
